Foundations for Healthy Marriages
This program is specifically designed for engaged and newlywed couples. Most couples start their marriages with dreams of happy futures and fulfilling relationships. No one includes their divorce attorney in the bridal party, just in case. But the patterns that couples start when they’re engaged can have effects long after the honeymoon.
Foundations for Healthy Marriages is designed to help engaged, newlywed or seriously dating couples, by encouraging them to identify their privately held beliefs and expectations, and to share them with their partners in safe, supportive and encouraging ways. We share skills and knowledge based on current research and established best practices, so the two of you can build a lasting, healthy and safe marriage.
Our goal isn’t to tell you what kind of marriage you should have. We want to help you identify the kind of marriage you want, and to equip you with knowledge and skills that increase your chances of being successful.
After participating in this program, you’ll have a better understanding of the following:
- How to Strengthen Your Love-Life
- How to Deal with Differences
- How to Effectively Manage Conflict
- The Power of Listening
- How to Identify Hidden Expectations
- How to Communicate Your Needs
- How to Clarify Marital Roles
- How to Deal with Finances
Foundations for Healthy Marriages is offered twice a year, in early spring and early fall. You can sign up for our email mailing list to receive notification of our next premarital program.
